REMOTE VIA ZOOM: A Peace of Art: Art Therapy Workshop
Wednesday, March 316:30—8:00 PMOnline
Art therapists from The Artful Life Counseling Center and Studio will be presenting a series of 90-minute workshops for adults to learn creative ways to reduce stress and develop an inner sense of peace through visual art-based mindfulness techniques. Participants will explore simple visual art prompts using various art materials curated in a 'take and make' available for pickup at the Beverly Public Library. Expressive arts therapists will guide you to quiet the static from your daily life and begin to untangle and understand what’s happening around you and in your inner world, ultimately to make a 'peace of art' that allows you to start having a clearer head, creative mind, and peaceful heart. Art directives will emphasize the repetitive sensory elements of art making to decrease the stress response, develop emotional regulation skills and connect with others through a shared creative experience. Anyone who is registered for the program will be emailed when art kits are ready for pickup. Questions? Contact Lisa Ryan at ryan@noblenet.org.
