Monday, September 309:30—10:30 AMSohier RoomMain Library32 Essex Street, Beverly, MA, 01915

This illustrated presentation continues where last season’s A Daring Voyage Across the Atlantic with Karl Hering left off and covers the further adventures of William Andrews as he attempts to reclaim his record of crossing the Atlantic with the smallest boat. Along the way he initiates the world's first single-handed transatlantic sailboat race. His initial failures are followed by his greatest success when he sets a record in 1892 that stands for over 70 years. His story concludes with his final voyage and tragic loss in 1901.

Free and open to adults. Light refreshments available at 9 AM. Info: Ona at ridenour@noblenet.org or 978-921-6062.
