This program begins with a brief history of how Metro Boston's water supply system expanded across the state, from Lake Cochituate through Wachusett Reservoir, to the construction of the Quabbin Reservoir. We’ll explore the story of the towns destroyed to create the Quabbin Reservoir. J.R. Greene is the author of 24 books about the history of the Quabbin Reservoir, MA railroads, and the life of Calvin Coolidge. Books will be available for purchase.
