Join local historian Bob Begin for an illustrated talk on the career of Thomas Edward Lawrence, more commonly known as Lawrence of Arabia. Begin traces Lawrence's career from an idealistic archeologist, to a military leader who worked with Arab and Bedouin forces during WWI and finally an advocate for the independence of Arab peoples. It is a story of empire and disillusionment that continues to be relevant today.
