Whatcha' Mean a Zine?: A Hands-On Workshop
Saturday, December 142:00—4:00 PMSohier RoomMain Library32 Essex Street, Beverly, MA, 01915
Join local zinester and artist, Dawn Stahura, for this all-ages, hands-on workshop making zines! Have you always wanted to write and publish your own work? Do you have a story tell and want to share it with the world? Then zines are for you! In this workshop, you will learn what zines are (think booklets made out of paper) and then you will learn how to make your own. Together, we will learn the brief history of zines, why zines are so important today, and how to make your own mini-zine out of a single piece of paper. They are easy to make and easy to photocopy for distribution.
All you need for this workshop is curiosity and the willingness to try something new. All skill levels are welcome! All the supplies you need to make a zine will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own stickers, images, and photographs that you might want to incorporate into your personal zine.
Registration is required. This program is organized by Rukmal Ryder, Reference Librarian. Questions? Contact Kerri, Head of Reference, at kmaclaury@noblenet.org.
