Basic Computer and Digital Literacy 10-Week Course

Learn basic computer and digital literacy skills from a Digital Equity Partnership instructor, plus get personal assistance from digital navigators, at this 10-week, hands-on course. Each participant will be given a Google Chromebook to work on during the course and participants who successfully complete all 12 hours of coursework will get to keep the Chromebook and receive a completion certificate. This course is in the Sohier Room and will run every Thursday from 6-7:30 PM, September 11 thru November 13, with a potential make-up date on November 20.

To be eligible for this program, participants must self certify that they qualify for at least one of the following criteria:

  • Experienced economic hardship made worse by COVID-19
  • Households at or below 300% of Federal Poverty Guidelines for household size
  • Qualify for Temporary assistance for needy families program (TANF), Federal supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP), Federal Communications Commission’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) or Lifeline program, Free or reduced-price lunch for a child in the household
